Chocolate Chip Cookie Recipe (with Crisco)

Made with shortening (crisco) these chocolate chip cookies are crispy on the outside and chewy in the center. 

STEP 1: In medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.

STEP 2: Beat shortening, brown sugar, and granulated sugar on high for about 2 minutes.

STEP 3: Add eggs and vanilla extract, beat on low until just combined.

STEP 4: Add the dry ingredients all at once and beat on low until the flour is just combined.

STEP 5: Pour the chocolate chips into the dough, beat on low or hand mix until the chips are evenly dispersed throughout.

STEP 6: Drop dough (about 2 tablespoons) onto the prepared baking sheet.

STEP 7: Bake at 350 degrees for 12-14 minutes.

STEP 8: Remove from oven when edges are golden brown. Let cool on wire rack.
