Chocolate Chip Cookie Recipe (with Crisco)
Made with shortening (crisco) these chocolate chip cookies are crispy on the outside and chewy in the center.
In medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
Beat shortening, brown sugar, and granulated sugar on high for about 2 minutes.
Add eggs and vanilla extract, beat on low until just combined.
Add the dry ingredients all at once and beat on low until the flour is just combined.
Pour the chocolate chips into the dough, beat on low or hand mix until the chips are evenly dispersed throughout.
Drop dough (about 2 tablespoons) onto the prepared baking sheet.
Bake at 350 degrees for 12-14 minutes.
Remove from oven when edges are golden brown. Let cool on wire rack.
